Filming for Rail Away

The crew have been filming for a week on the Welsh Highland and the Ffestiniog Railways. Earlier in the week the cameraman was filming from inside the loco and had to catch the fireman as he fainted; must have been hot. Programme is due to be broadcast in December. This is the 16th year of the programme and they film 6 journeys from around the world each year.

Snowdonia by Helicopter

Beautiful flight over Snowdonia in a helicopter. The sun was shining, Sue was waving (but you can't see her) and Andy Murray won at Wimbledon. Great birthday present, thank you so much.

From Betws y Coed via Dolwyddelan, Blaenau, Dduallt, Oakeley Arms, Plas Tan y Bwlch, Portmeirion, Nantmor, Aberglaslyn, Llyn Gwynant, Plas y Brenin, Capel Curig, Betws and back to the impromptu airport.
